02 Oct From church to health centre

The former Theresia church in Borne is transformed into a beautiful new health center, which is offering a wide range of care facilities. There is a beautiful contrast between the old and the new, with much respect for the church building. All vaults of the church and the top of all characteristic windows remain visible.

On the ground floor, there’s a large health area with general practice, physiotherapy and podotherapy, osteopathy and the collective service point of the pharmacies. The first and second floors are manned by the specialists of physio and podotherapy, osteopathy, pharmacy, speech therapy, dietetic, psychology and home care organizations.

The architects Reitsema & Partners were inspired by the design of the Neues Museum in Berlin by David Chipperfield. Visitors get the idea to enter in a covered outdoor place, where all healthcare disciplines are located. VDNDP has worked on the VVO surface drawings, 3D impressions and the construction drawings. The impression on this page is by Reitsema & Partners.
