  • Waterfront Harderwijk

The Waterfront project revolves around a completely new residential area on islands in Harderwijk realized by Koopman TBI, Synchroon, Boskalis and the municipality of Harderwijk. The various islands each have their own character and are filled with 1900 rental and owner-occupied houses and apartments. VDNDP provided the development for four projects, in different phases, from the allotment to the implementation.

    About Waterfront in Harderwijk

An example of such a subproject within Waterfront is the Watersports Boulevard & De Bakens, which was built on the site of a former marina. It involves 72 owner-occupied homes and 81 rental homes. The design of the homes is varied. Cross- and long-roofed houses, stepped and spouted gables and different heights alternate, as does the color scheme of the brickwork and paintwork.

Another subproject of Waterfront Harderwijk is the Zuidereiland, also with different housing types, a varied use of materials and colors, and multiple types of roofs. At the head of the island, ten condominiums have been built, for which VDNDP was responsible for the sales, building application and working drawings.

For the North Island, VDNDP also provided the sales, building application, and working drawings. This case involved 85 row houses.
