• Vertical Sloterdijk

A special project called VERTICAL was completed in Amsterdam's Sloterdijk district in 2021. It revolved around the construction of 144 condominiums and the creation of 700 m² of commercial space. VDNDP was part of the team of five architectural firms. We were in charge of the project and were responsible for the total Building engineer elaboration, including sales pieces.

    About Vertical Sloterdijk

Four types of housing have been erected: apartments, maisonettes, garden lofts and shed houses six meters high. The residential complex has a sustainable character through the use of solar energy, storage of heat and cold, reuse of rainwater and the recovery of heat from hot water. There are also multiple charging stations in the building for electric cars, scooters and bicycles. The green character of the project was also given a literal interpretation: the facades are (partially) planted and at height there are several gardens.
