    Overhoeks Margaret (block Q)

The Margaret is a new apartment building on the corner of the Dockslandsweg and the van der Pekbrug. The new Overhoeks De Margaret building consists of 105 social housing units with storage and bicycle storage and 3 commercial spaces. The Margaret will be a striking building with its seven residential floors and square floor plan. A characteristic feature is the two setbacks on the 6th floor and the prefabricated concrete facade. A communal outdoor space will be realized on the large first floor with a view of the water. The interior is characterized by a generous atrium, where prefabricated concrete stairs will be realized in a playful manner that connect to the concrete void edges.

    Another successful Overhoeks collaboration

This project follows the earlier projectsThe Berend, The Jakoba, the August and the Louise, also in Overhoeks.

The project, like all our Overhoeks projects, is characterized by a very intensive collaboration between contractor, architect, client and consultants to engineer the design. The good cooperation in this integral team has once again proven itself in this project. Project developer and client Julienne Schreinemachers of Ymere tells in aninterview withtheTheArchitecton this so-called "co-making" approach.
