Kapelstraat Emmen is an unusual apartment complex characterized by its oval shape. It consists of 30 rental apartments, which are provided with ground source heat pumps, and a parking basement. VDNDP, in collaboration with the parties involved, has further developed the design from the application for an environmental permit into a technically feasible project.
This project follows the apartment complexes "the Boshof" and "Angelino" built earlier by Brands Bouw B.V. and is the final piece of new construction in this area. The complex at Kapelstraat in Emmen was commissioned by Over Vastgoed B.V. . The design comes from the hands of BBAW.
VDNDP, in collaboration with the parties involved, has further developed the design from the application for an environmental permit to a technically feasible project. The special feature of the project is of course the form, with the challenges in clearly dimensioned models and drawings for implementation. The HSB facades and gable ties were installed at an early stage of construction and used as formwork for pouring the wide slab floors.
We were also allowed to support Brands Bouw B.V. in the BIM implementation in their organization and approach as a directing party in a BIM process. This has been embraced by Brands Bouw B.V. and other parties involved and has led to a pleasant cooperation.
