On the edge of the Beatrix Park in Amsterdam, located on the Zuidas, the luxurious apartment complex Habitat Royale is being realized. Commissioned by G&S, VDNDP is providing the Building engineer elaboration from the DO phase onwards. A building with such specific forms and high quality architecture requires full attention and offers us a wonderful opportunity to optimally deploy our 3 expertises together.
Thanks to close cooperation with Boele & van Eesteren for the technical elaboration and Mecanoo for the architecture, we bring these disciplines together harmoniously in our work. For a complex building like this, a BIM model is indispensable. A lot of attention is therefore paid to the coordination with construction and installations, among others, but also to the integration of greenery. Together with Van Ginkel, we work on the various boundary conditions required for the green design, drawing them up in 3D to clearly map the Building engineer interfaces. With this team we will continue in the coming period to develop the DO design into an even more realizable plan.
