A former 1960 post office in the heart of Enschede has been converted into a cinema with nine screens. VDNDP technically developed the design by Barcode Architects of Rotterdam.
Monumental elements, such as the windows with glass appliqué in the exterior facade, were given a new place in the building. The goal was to give the cinema a transparent appearance and create a cool place, right in the center of the city.
The project was carried out by Nijhuis Bouw in cooperation with Explorius Real Estate Development.
