    About De Poort van Borne

When it became clear years ago that the former Theresa Church would lose its function, the parish council sought a suitable use for the building without having to demolish it. Plans to develop it as a health center finally led to its sale in 2015. After all the construction work was completed, the first health care providers moved to De Poort van Borne in 2018 and an extraordinary multifunctional center was created, where meeting and connecting are central.

Currently, twenty different healthcare providers are located at de Poort van Borne; from general practitioners to speech therapists and from psychologists to masseurs. Central to the church is an inner courtyard that ends on the second floor as a multipurpose stage. Here you wait at the old baptismal font for your appointment or pick up a prescription at the pharmacy.
